Primary Responsibilities
? Perform initial consultations with client stakeholders to determine their learning needs and develop a design approach:
1. Specify learning solution components (e.g. WBT, ILT, PSS, blended, etc.), sequencing, and timing.
2. Design key learner activity types to use throughout each learning solution.
3. Determine media approach (e.g. live video, green-screen composited video, animated graphics, audio over stills, etc.).
4. Identify the appropriate assessment approach.
5. Determine content gathering requirements.

? Interview Subject Matter Experts and review source materials in order to create the Course Design & Course Content:
a. Develop a sequenced breakdown of lessons and activities.
b. Develop detailed activities descriptions from the learners perspective; objectives tied to the each activity; and activity timing.
c. Draft course content, e.g. analysis documents and scripts.
d. Maintain accurate records of client requests and edits.
e. Select photos and other images to be used in courses.
f. Construct courses using proprietary content development tools (this is a desirable skill)
? Set User Experience requirements for the course:
a. Create a visual walkthrough of all key activities in a solution from the learners perspective.
b. Create wireframes of all required screens with all interaction elements defined.
c. Determine the course flow/learner control approach (for WBTs).
d. Identify any user experience requirements for paper-based materials (e.g. job aids, ILT documents).
? Present key design deliverables to client stakeholders and update based on feedback.
